Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager in the U.S. to own end-to-end delivery of cross‑functional IT programs, from planning through sustainment.

You will report program benefits to executive sponsors and governance boards and drive program health, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment. The role requires strong leadership and a solid technical background to credibly assess risks, manage external providers, and guide Enterprise Applications initiatives across

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience in IT program management.
• Project/Program management experience in IT organizations.
• Technical background to evaluate risks and issues credibly.
• Experience on Enterprise Applications projects/programs.
• Experience managing external implementation providers.
• Strong leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of stakeholder management and senior leadership communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead program definition, planning, scope and execution; monitor health status and mitigate risks.
• Define integrated program plans with detailed work breakdown structures for success.
• Identify dependencies between programs and scope/lead transformation opportunities.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and report program status to executives and governance forums.
• Work independently in ambiguous environments to create clear paths forward for teams.
• Apply best-practice PMO guidelines to continuously improve processes.
