Poppy AI is seeking an Enrolled Agent to lead strategic tax advisory for a portfolio of entrepreneur clients. This role focuses on tax planning, understanding client businesses and goals, and communicating recommendations clearly to owners.

You will collaborate with the tax, accounting, customer-success and operations teams, while working in a 1099 independent contractor capacity from a fully remote U.S. environment. The position offers flexible hours with potential growth to full-time.

Formación

• Active Enrolled Agent credential in good standing with the IRS.
• 3–7+ years of tax, accounting or tax-advisory experience.
• Strong understanding of closely held businesses, S corporations and individual taxation.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Lead recurring tax-strategy and advisory calls with clients.
• Review client financials, projections, prior-year returns and previous recommendations before meetings.
• Identify tax-planning opportunities, risks and areas requiring deeper review.
• Explain complex tax concepts in clear, practical language.
• Translate meetings into a clear, actionable client plan.
• Route technical or complex issues to the Senior Tax Manager.
• Ensure recommendations enter the firm's implementation workflow.
• Proactively reach out when client financials or business changes create planning opportunities.
