Job summary

A leading music streaming company is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to maintain uptime, performance, and capacity of production servers. The role covers system administration, automation, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support, with 40 hours/week and a 6‑month assignment.

Remote work is available for candidates in the United States. Requirements include 5+ years of UNIX/Linux administration, Python/BASH scripting, Ansible, and experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years UNIX/Linux administration experience.
• Experience with Python or BASH scripting.
• Expertise in Ansible-based configuration management.
• Experience with Linux distributions (Debian/Red Hat).
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, OpenShift KubeVirt, KVM).
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Knowledge of logging/monitoring (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD tooling.
• LDAP and Kerberos administration experience.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp tools and cloud (AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain uptime, performance, and capacity of production servers and services.
• Perform patching, migrations, upgrades, and change management activities.
• Develop system automation, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage infrastructure, including DNS, LDAP, Kerberos, and logging.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and collaborate across teams.
