Job summary

Proven Recruiting has partnered with a leading entertainment company to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer for its Systems Engineering team on a contract basis. The role is hybrid/remote within the United States and focuses on maintaining uptime, performance, and capacity of production servers and services.

The ideal candidate will own triage, monitoring, and troubleshooting, and will drive automation and configuration changes using Ansible while participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of UNIX/Linux administration experience.
• Scripting ability in Python or BASH.
• Significant experience with Ansible-based configuration management.
• Experience with monitoring/metrics tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or SysStat.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (OpenShift KubeVirt, KVM, Nutanix, or VMware).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field a plus, not required.

Compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to the specific role, the candidate's experience, education, and skills, as well as geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range will be provided during the interview process.

The expected range for this role is $79.00 to $84.00 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
