VetsEZ is seeking a Team Lead / Senior Systems Engineer to support enterprise healthcare IT operations for the VA. You will lead the engineering team and hands-on manage Windows Server infrastructure, AD, GPOs, and high-availability deployments across development, staging, and production environments. The role requires U.S.

citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. You will mentor staff, coordinate tool deployments, and drive secure configurations and automation across

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or enterprise IT.
• Experience administering Windows Server in large-scale environments.
• Experience leading technical teams and reviewing work output.
• Designing enterprise Windows infrastructure with high availability and SAN storage.
• Hands-on with Active Directory, GPOs, Windows clustering, sFTP, and SAN storage.
• Patch management, hardening, and federal security compliance.
• Experience with Hyper‑V and VMM tooling.
• Familiarity with backup and monitoring tools (e.g., Commvault, SolarWinds, SCOM).
• Strong scripting, documentation, and leadership communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

• Lead a team of system administrators and engineers, managing priorities and delivery.
• Serve as technical liaison with program leadership, developers, and VA stakeholders.
• Design and maintain Windows Server infrastructure across environments.
• Architect enterprise services like AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and RDP; set team standards.
• Ensure high-availability through clusters, SAN storage, and NIC teaming.
• Oversee Hyper-V and physical servers, firmware, and diagnostics.
• Lead STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, and secure remote access configurations.
• Own enterprise backup strategy using Commvault, including testing and validation.
• Monitor systems with SCOM/SolarWinds and lead incident root cause analysis.
• Coordinate deployment of enterprise tools (VS, Power BI, SQL Server, etc.).
• Lead change management, risk assessment, and rollback planning.
• Develop PowerShell automation standards and review team scripts.
• Maintain operational documentation and topology diagrams for audits.
• Mentor staff and support onboarding and performance reviews.
