Job summary

Harris Computer seeks a senior IT operations professional to manage and optimize complex infrastructure and application environments in a remote USA role. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and partner with Operations on patches and system health, while communicating with executives and clients.

Responsibilities include leading technical projects, automating processes, and ensuring compliance with change management and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• ]5–7 years of relevant experience in IT operations or engineering.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, Power BI, and Databricks to support analytics and monitoring.
• Experience supporting production infrastructure and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to present technically to executives and non-technical audiences.
• Experience scripting and automating tasks; familiarity with change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and support infrastructure and application environments.
• Monitor system performance and conduct health checks; assist capacity planning.
• Collaborate with Operations on patches, antivirus, maintenance, and system health.
• Identify root causes and implement preventive solutions.
• Own assigned projects, communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
• Present technical information to groups and executive audiences.
• Standardize and automate processes and monitoring with scripting.
• Follow change management procedures and maintain design docs.
• Document issues and resolutions; contribute to continuous improvement.
