Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer for O-RAN infrastructure, focusing on power and performance in remote US-based roles. Compensation ranges from $152,000 to $241,500 annually, with visa sponsorship unavailable.

You will design and optimize system software, develop power-management policies, analyze workloads, and build performance models to guide next-gen SoC decisions across telecom hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of system software, embedded software, or firmware experience.
• Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills.
• Solid understanding of computer architecture and multicore systems.
• Experience with Linux internals and real-time programming.
• Hands-on performance measurement and optimization.
• Knowledge of 5G and 6G cellular infrastructure standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize system software for O-RAN infrastructure
• Develop power-management policies across subsystems
• Analyze RU and DU workloads to identify bottlenecks
• Create performance models and measurement tools for testing
• Validate architectural decisions using simulations and prototypes
• Evaluate system behavior against cellular-interface requirements
• Influence future SoC architectures based on workload analysis
