Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to advance software for next‑gen O-RAN infrastructure. You’ll work at the intersection of SoC architecture, cellular systems, firmware, and OS internals to deliver high performance and energy efficiency.

You’ll design, develop, and optimize system software for RUs and DUs, contribute to power management, and collaborate across hardware, platform, and cellular software teams from pre‑silicon bring‑up to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of system software, embedded software, or performance engineering.
• Experience debugging software for SoCs or embedded platforms.
• Strong C/C++ skills; Python or scripting language proficiency.
• Knowledge of OS internals, Linux kernel, devices, and real-time programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize system software and firmware for SoCs in O-RAN infrastructure.
• Develop power-management policies and performance optimizations across subsystems.
• Analyze RU/DU workloads to identify bottlenecks and improve performance.
• Create power models, benchmarks, and test infrastructure for pre/post-silicon environments.
• Validate architectural decisions using simulation, emulation, and production silicon.
• Ensure O-RAN and 5G/6G interface timing, synchronization, and reliability.
