Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a remote Senior Surgical Coder licensed in Colorado to lead quality peer reviews within a Surgical Coding team. You will manage audits of coding staff, provide education based on audit results, and support coding analysis and feedback initiatives.

Responsibilities include acting as a coding expert for surgical specialties, collaborating with the ACE team on audit results, and identifying coding trends to enhance compliance and coder performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of surgical coding experience with procedural and diagnosis coding.
• CPC or equivalent AHIMA certification is required; CPMA or other specialty certifications are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality peer review efforts for the Surgical Coding team and maintain records of quality peer reviews.
• Collaborate with the Audit, Compliance & Education (ACE) team on audit results and prepare educational presentations for coders.
• Identify coding trends and educational opportunities to enhance compliance and coder performance.
