Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Remote Coding Auditor to conduct complex audits of clinically coded data and provide ongoing education to coding staff. The role runs 8 AM to 4:30 PM ET and focuses on improving documentation and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities include auditing outpatient and inpatient data, delivering training to clinical departments, and preparing reports that track trends to optimize reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ICD10CM/PCS, CPT4, and HCPCS coding conventions and guidelines.
• Must obtain CCS or RHIT certification within 2 years if not certified upon hire.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex audits of outpatient and inpatient coded data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
• Provide continuous education and training for coding staff and clinical departments on documentation improvement
• Prepare reports and presentations on audit results and track trends to optimize reimbursement processes
