Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of medical coding/auditing experience.
• At least 3 years in coding audit or quality review.
• AAPC CPMA auditing certification required.
• Additional certifications such as CPC, CEMC, CRC, CPB, CCS-P, or RHIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit and assess the quality of medical coding and documentation for accuracy.
• Educate coders and staff on appropriate coding classification standards and guidelines.
• Research and resolve errors or missing documentation to enhance coding processes.
