Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to build developer tooling that enhances velocity and reliability across the entire engineering organization. You’ll own the full lifecycle from local development tools to CI/CD, testing environments, deployments and releases, using cloud-native tech to deliver observable platforms for large-scale customers.

You will work with Terraform, Kubernetes and cloud providers, focusing on scalable, secure infrastructure while mentoring teammates

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend or systems engineering experience.
• Proficient in at least one backend language (Go/Java/Python/Rust).
• Cloud-native experience with AWS or GCP; Kubernetes knowledge.
• Deep Linux internals, process management and resource isolation.
• Experience with AI-native development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build high-scale developer tooling and backend services across a distributed cloud environment.
• Define, deploy and manage environments using declarative IaC (Terraform).
• Identify bottlenecks and improve the SDLC through tooling and architecture changes.
• Ensure resilience under heavy traffic; optimize performance and cost.
• Lead platform standards and mentor across teams to share best practices.
