Job summary

SailPoint is seeking a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the Identity Security Cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will drive service mesh adoption across hundreds of microservices and EKS clusters, set governance standards, and mentor engineers across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating large-scale service meshes in production Kubernetes environments.
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure, AWS, and security.
• Proven ability to lead platform initiatives and drive architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead full lifecycle service mesh implementation across hundreds of microservices on EKS.
• Establish standards, governance, and runbooks for service mesh adoption.
• Mentor engineers on architecture, troubleshooting, and capacity planning at scale.
• Design, operate, and optimize production Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS).
• Define Kubernetes standards, security hardening, and deployment patterns.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and incident response using GitOps and CI/CD.
• Support PCI DSS compliance through secure platform design and controls.
