Job summary

Upsun is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead the evolution of our cloud platform from traditional operations to a proactive, automation-driven SRE model. You will own critical workstreams, enhance reliability, and drive observability across multi-cloud environments with a focus on uptime and scalability.

You will architect monitoring, automation, and CI/CD improvements, collaborating with product and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Operations, or DevOps with production-scale reliability experience.
• Proficiency in Go or Python to build automation tools and SRE components.
• Deep Linux internals, kernel parameters, networking, profiling, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code and cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenStack) with declarative tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve monitoring, alerting, and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack; define SLIs/SLOs.
• Design and implement automated infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible across cloud providers.
• Scale CI/CD and delivery pipelines for fast, secure, zero-downtime releases.
• Lead incident response, run blameless post-mortems, and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to embed SRE best practices into roadmaps.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and evaluate emerging technologies to improve stability.
• Follow a 4-week rotation balancing engineering and operations tasks.
