Job summary

Anduril Industries in the Boston area is seeking a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply network development and cost management across lifecycles, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

The role involves supplier selection, BOM development, cost engineering, value-stream mapping, and ensuring component qualifications ahead of production, with up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Ability to travel 30%–40% of the time, variable by program needs.
• Open to remote work in Massachusetts (onsite preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection using the approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development.
• Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production.
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI.
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessment including alternate sourcing.
• Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production.
• Lead cost engineering to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost.
• Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and inflation.
