Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer to lead strategic supply network development and cost management across the Counter Intrusion product portfolio. You will collaborate with suppliers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing to drive development, BOM consolidation, and cost optimization.

The role requires 6+ years in sourcing engineering or related fields, with travel up to 40% and preference for onsite in an Anduril office, remote within California possible.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or total cost of ownership (TCO) at component or product level.
• Ability to travel 30%–40% of the time, depending on program needs.
• Onsite at a Anduril office preferred, remote in California acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product using approved supplier lists.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development with clear statements of work.
• Simulate and evaluate cost, should-cost, and trade-off analyses.
• Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with QA and Manufacturing teams.
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and optimize value-stream lead times.
• Complete BOM risk assessments and alternate component sourcing.
• Ensure component qualifications are completed prior to production.
• Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalization.
• Lead cost engineering to converge to target product cost and total cost of ownership.
• Address ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs and cost inflation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field

Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field
