Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Sourcing Engineer to lead strategic supply network development and cost management across product lifecycles. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and manufacturing to drive BOM development and ramp production.

The role emphasizes early supplier engagement, complex BOM management, and cost engineering to optimize total cost of ownership for high-tech hardware. A U.S. security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development for electronics or mechanical devices.
• Design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Advanced sourcing activities including commodity/sourcing management.
• Supplier development across technology, process and supply chain.
• Early supplier engagement before product/engineering requirements realization.
• Experience with value/procurement engineering or TCO at component or product level.
• Experience with high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment and startup exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection using our approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development and design.
• Drive development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing.
• Accountable for all NPI component procurement, on-time and correctly to scale.
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI.
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessment and alternate sourcing considerations.
• Ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production.
• Lead cost engineering to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost and maximize TCO.
• Manage ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs and cost inflation.
