Job summary

Cerence is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for Manufacturing & Industrial Automation. You will engage senior technical decision-makers and own the technical core of opportunities, shaping how Voice AI runs on customer hardware and edge platforms.

You will work with sales, product, and services to clear roadblocks, move PoCs to commitments, and feed real-world needs back into our product roadmap. Remote in North America; travel optional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years experience in solutions engineering, technical pre-sales, or hands-on development with customer ownership of evaluations/PoCs.
• Hands-on understanding of OT/controls stack, MES/MOM/ERP/PLM/EAM/CMMS, and edge/cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of rugged hardware, wearables, industrial headsets, and edge compute on-device silicon.
• Ability to lead evaluations and PoCs end-to-end from discovery to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Engage senior technical decision-makers across manufacturing and industrial automation ecosystems.
• Own the technical core of opportunities and design fit on customer hardware/edge platforms.
• Clear technical roadblocks and convert eval kits/PoCs into commitments.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and professional services to translate field learnings into strategy.
• Feed customer requirements back into product roadmap and integration plans.
