Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to define secure, scalable cloud architectures for regulated financial services in a FedRAMP High environment. You will collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, compliance, and business stakeholders to modernize platforms and deliver compliant cloud-native solutions.

You will lead design of APIs, microservices, and data management, ensure security controls, and align with NIST 800-53 and Zero Trust.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software/solution/enterprise architecture roles.
• Experience in regulated financial services environments (banking, securities, capital markets).
• Azure Government and cloud-native architecture principles (APIs, microservices, containers).
• Hands-on with enterprise application platforms such as .NET or Java and modern integration architectures.
• Strong knowledge of FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53 controls, secure SDLC, IAM, and cloud security frameworks.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and driving scalability, observability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud-native, highly available, secure architectures for financial services platforms and client integrations.
• Define enterprise architecture standards for APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, data management, and security controls.
• Partner with cybersecurity and DevSecOps to align solutions with FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, audit logging, and continuous monitoring.
• Review and govern solution designs for scalability, resiliency, performance, and maintenance.
• Lead architecture modernization efforts and provide guidance on technical strategy and production support models.
