Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to define secure, scalable architectures for regulated financial services in a FedRAMP High government cloud environment. You will collaborate with engineering, security, DevSecOps, compliance, and business stakeholders to modernize platforms and deliver cloud-native solutions.

The role emphasizes designing cloud-native, highly available systems; guiding enterprise API and data-management standards; aligning with NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, and IAM.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software/enterprise architecture roles.
• Experience in regulated financial services environments (banking, securities, etc.).
• Expertise with Azure Government and cloud-native architecture principles (APIs, microservices, containers).
• Hands-on with enterprise app platforms such as .NET or Java and modern integration architectures.
• Strong knowledge of FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53 controls, secure SDLC, IAM, and cloud security frameworks.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and driving scalability, observability, and production excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud-native, highly available, and secure architectures for financial services platforms.
• Define enterprise architecture standards for APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, data management, integration, and security.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and DevSecOps to meet FedRAMP High, NIST, Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, audit logging, and monitoring requirements.
• Review and govern solution designs for scalability, resiliency, performance, and operations readiness.
• Lead architecture modernization efforts and provide guidance on strategy, risk, and production support.
