Job summary

Defense Unicorns is seeking a Solutions Architect to guide delivery for Unicorn Delivery Service projects. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to align technical strategy with customer needs, build CI/CD pipelines, and drive growth initiatives across cloud-native platforms.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of software engineering, leadership experience, and deep Kubernetes/containers expertise. This role supports remote-based US operations with a strong focus on defense-related engagements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ year in a management role.
• Proven track record leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud and on-prem system architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript; familiarity with web tech.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact and trusted advisor for customers’ technical needs.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and support customer engagements.
• Understand and articulate engineering impact and Defense Unicorns products.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deploy UDS Bundles and packages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on growth strategies and market research.
