Job summary
Maximus is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead a high-performing team delivering innovative IT applications. This strategic leadership role guides engineers across multiple projects, focusing on design, development, and integration to meet business needs in the Medicaid technology space.
This fully remote position requires 10% travel. You will collaborate with delivery and product managers, set priorities, and drive engineering excellence, recruiting and mentoring talent
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 7+ years of professional software/IT leadership experience.
- Technical Medicaid experience (3-5 years) required.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and multiple projects.
- 1-3 years of project management planning experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction to software engineers in IT Applications Development.
- Define priorities to align with the vision and goals of Software Engineering.
- Ensure adherence to best practices across lifecycle from design to integration.
- Lead staffing decisions including hiring, performance, and terminations.
- Mentor staff and drive complete application design and integration.
- Improve lifecycle time by enhancing requirements quality and delivery.
