Job summary

Astrana Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own architecture and deliver full-stack features across the product surface. You will work from database schemas to a React UI, collaborating with PMs, clinicians, and operations to ship high-quality software.

You will design scalable data models, implement robust integrations, and ensure secure handling of PHI while mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering large features.
• Four-year undergraduate degree in CS, Math, Physics, or Engineering.
• Full-stack capability from database to browser.
• Strong TypeScript, backend and frontend proficiency.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, reliability, and technical direction for a product surface or system.
• Ship full-stack features end to end, from schema and API through to the React UI.
• Decompose larger problems into work that several people can pick up in parallel.
• Design data models that survive changing requirements and robust integrations.
• Work with data directly; write SQL, validate numbers, and build analytics for clinics/operations.
• Run safe migrations, logging, and runbooks with rollback strategies.
• Build authorization, audit trails, and PHI minimization into designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and review code to teach best practices.
