Job summary

Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer for the Privileged Access Managed team to build native Rust SDKs and OS-level integrations across Windows, macOS, and Linux. This role emphasizes secure, end-to-end encrypted experiences and FFI bindings while avoiding front-end focus.

You will collaborate with product, design, QA, and the Autofill team, review PRs on GitHub, and independently plan feature work and fixes in a fully remote, open-source-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Rust production experience with 4–6+ years.
• Designing cross-platform SDKs and native desktop integrations.
• Experience with FFI and language bindings across Windows/macOS/Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve the shared Rust SDK and bindings.
• Interface with OS-level APIs for native behavior.
• Improve performance, security, and reliability of integrations.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and Autofill teams.
• Review PRs and contribute to GitHub community.
• Plan, estimate, and deliver new features and bug fixes.
