Job summary

Evolent is hiring a senior software engineer for a fully remote role based in the United States. You will design, build, and deploy scalable software, focusing on APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.

You will guide teams, conduct reviews, and drive continuous improvement across the SDLC, including AI-assisted development tools. The position requires 5 years of experience, strong C#/Java/Python skills, and expertise in ASP.NET MVC, WCF, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of professional software development experience delivering scalable applications.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC & WCF, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of complex, scalable software solutions.
• Architect and implement high-performance APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote coding best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous learning.
• Improve SDLC with automation, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure high availability.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to boost productivity.
• Drive technical vision and participate in long-term architecture planning.
