Job summary

Evolent is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions. You will architect high-performance APIs and microservices, mentor junior engineers, and drive the technical vision across projects.

Collaboration with product, design, and other engineers is essential to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. Required expertise includes C#, Java, Python, REST, ASP.NET MVC/WCF, and cloud platforms with Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of professional software development experience delivering complex, scalable applications.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python and familiarity with their ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven/clean architecture, and RESTful API design.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC & WCF.
• Cloud platforms and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted development platforms like GitHub Copilot or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of complex software solutions with scalability in mind.
• Architect and implement high-performance APIs and microservices for critical business functions.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Improve the software development lifecycle with automation, testing, and CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to boost productivity.
• Drive technical vision and long-term architectural planning.
• Apply AI-assisted development techniques across the lifecycle.
