Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Senior Site Activation Manager II to lead start-up and activation of clinical research sites across complex studies.

This REMOTE role collaborates with sponsors, project teams, regulatory stakeholders, and sites to keep milestones on schedule, manage risks, and drive process improvements across site activation.

The ideal candidate has seven years of CRO/pharma start-up experience, a related degree, strong leadership, and excellent written and spoken English.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of CRO or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Thorough understanding of start-up and site activation processes.
• Knowledge of ICH GCP guidelines and FDA/EU regulations.
• Excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead study start-up and site activation for assigned projects.
• Primary contact for activation deliverables, timelines and performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet critical path on time and budget.
• Monitor site identification, qualification, essential document collection, regulatory submissions, and contract progression.
• Assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed.
• Track activation metrics and report status to sponsors and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain site activation plans reflecting study requirements and budgets.
• Contribute to proposals, budgets, bid defenses and other business development activities.
• Coach and mentor Site Activation Managers and drive process improvements.
