Job summary
Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Software Developer in Test (SDET) for a fully remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. The position requires strong programming skills (C#, .NET, Java, or Python) and extensive testing experience across manual and automated testing, with Agile/Scrum and SDLC expertise.
Ideal candidates will have hands-on test automation knowledge (Selenium, TestNG/JUnit), CI/CD familiarity (GitHub Actions), and strong communication.
Qualifications
- Candidates MUST have strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
- Experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC understanding.
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and source control.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
- Create test schedules and approaches.
- Write test cases/scripts and identify data for scenarios.
- Lead test activities and document results.
- Support analysis of test results and issue resolution.
- Report progress to management.
- Develop daily test metrics and reporting.
- Collaborate with QA/Dev teams and stakeholders.
