Job summary

Cardinal Health in the United States seeks an experienced Application Development & Maintenance architect to design scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales, Service, and Marketing Cloud. You will own end-to-end implementation and partner with Enterprise Architects and Marketing stakeholders to deliver unified customer journeys.

The role emphasizes data strategy, real-time segmentation, and API integrations, with leadership for hybrid teams and a strong focus on security and performance.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in Salesforce ecosystem.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) incl. Journey Builder, Automation Studio, AMPScript, and Contact Builder.
• Experience with Data Cloud / Data 360 - ingestion, mapping, unification, activation.
• Strong cross-cloud integrations bridging SFMC with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• SQL logic, data flow design, and complex audience segmentation.
• Experience with Agentforce and emerging AI marketing capabilities.
• Experience in MarTech solution design for multi-stream implementations.
• Experience in enterprise-scale Salesforce environments (Build and Run projects).
• Familiarity with Apex and Lightning Web Components; Salesforce Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Own end-to-end solution design for multi-cloud implementations across Sales, Service, and Marketing Cloud.
• Configure Data Cloud ingestion pipelines and real-time segmentation for unified customer profiles.
• Design and implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, APIGEE).
• Provide solution architecture to projects in line with Sales/Service/Marketing strategy.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into architectures.
• Provide technical leadership to a hybrid onshore/offshore team.
• Lead code/design reviews (AMPScript, SQL, Automation Studio) for performance, security, and best practices.
