Newell Brands is seeking a Lead, Retirement Benefits to drive the strategy and governance of our retirement programs across the United States. This role partners with Total Rewards, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient plan delivery and impactful employee education.

You will own dashboards, lead communications, and advance financial wellbeing initiatives while navigating complex plan design and regulatory requirements. Remote role, eligible for various US time zones.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in retirement benefits or related field.
• Strong knowledge of defined contribution plans, ERISA, IRS, fiduciary governance, and compliance.
• Experience leading retirement programs, governance, audits, and vendor management.
• Experience developing employee financial wellbeing or retirement readiness strategies.
• Advanced Excel, data analysis, and dashboard/reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end retirement plan administration and governance.
• Establish objectives, standards, risk controls, and performance expectations for program delivery.
• Own relationships with recordkeepers, trustees, actuaries, consultants, and partners; manage vendor performance.
• Oversee annual compliance tasks including nondiscrimination testing, filings, audits, and data collection.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive employee financial wellbeing strategy aligned with Total Rewards goals.
• Design, implement, and manage financial wellbeing programs, tools, and vendor solutions.
• Define success measures and present insights to Total Rewards leadership.
• Lead retirement benefits communications strategy and stakeholder education campaigns.
• Own quarterly dashboards and scorecards for retirement plans; monitor trends and actions.
• Analyze plan, payroll, and participant data to identify opportunities and risks.
