Job summary

City National Bank is seeking a senior relationship manager to acquire and manage a national portfolio of small business and personal clients. The role collaborates with RBC USWM Financial Advisors to deliver CNB capabilities, with emphasis on client introductions, financial advice, and risk-managed growth.

The position is primarily remote with some in-market collaboration, and requires extensive experience in sales within financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of direct sales experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a financial institution.
• Banking products knowledge for personal and business clients.
• Regulatory / compliance knowledge to manage risk and ensure compliance.
• Understanding of the economic environment and its impact on clients.
• Ability to review financial statements and advise accordingly.
• Strong negotiation skills and policy/procedures knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and facilitate new small business and personal relationships while managing a portfolio of existing clients to achieve sales goals.
• Develop a defined strategy for engaging RBC USWM Financial Advisors and other partners for client introductions and education.
• Manage a portfolio of existing clients and deepen relationships through cross-selling.
• Deliver an exceptional, consistent client experience and resolve escalations.
• Improve banking acumen and sales practices through collaboration and training.
• Capture holistic view of client needs and provide sound financial advice.
• Maintain awareness of policies, procedures and regulatory requirements and manage risk.
• Interact professionally with CNB and RBC personnel and clients.
