Flagstar Bank is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager for the Middle Market in the Cleveland area with work-from-home flexibility. The role focuses on new business development and end-to-end relationship management for mid-sized companies, supported by product specialists and portfolio managers.

You will originate, structure, and close complex loans, coordinating a cross-functional team to optimize profitability while maintaining strong credit discipline and deep client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; formal credit training preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial lending or equivalent experience; established origination track record.

Responsibilities

• New Business Origination: develop and maintain relationships to generate direct deal flow and coordinate team to close deals.
• Relationship Management: engage with sponsors/borrowers with portfolio managers to expand relationships.
• Strategic Planning: align with regional leadership to set and track production/revenue goals and pipeline forecasting.
• Credit Quality: monitor portfolio credit quality and ensure compliance with reporting requirements; manage risk exposure.
• Maintain Knowledge: stay abreast of market trends impacting Sponsor Coverage group and assigned borrowers.
