Job summary

Norstella’s IHD Insights-as-a-Service team seeks a Senior Analytic Consultant to join our growing services group supporting Panalgo and IHD. This individual contributor role works on client engagements, advising on study design, data sources, and analytics while leveraging machine learning and SQL-based workflows.

You will apply epidemiologic methods, HEOR, and real-world data analytics across therapeutic areas, coding in R/Python/SAS/SQL and translating outputs into actionable business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, health services research, public health, statistics, computer science)
• 3+ years of professional experience with real-world data in outcomes research, health economics, epidemiology, or life sciences consulting
• Understanding of the life sciences industry and US healthcare ecosystem
• Advanced proficiency in SQL
• Demonstrated ability to independently own client relationships and provide strategic advisory
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings for diverse audiences
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of creative problem-solving and strategic thinking
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Own client relationships as the primary point of contact, communicating clearly with senior and non-technical stakeholders
• Advise clients on study design, data source selection, and analytical approach, managing expectations across concurrent projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Translate study protocols into IHD projects, from cohort definition through analytic output
• Own end-to-end quality control, applying deep knowledge of claims, lab, EMR/EHR, and SDOH data to guide implementation decisions
• Apply deep knowledge across therapeutic areas and real-world data assets, onboarding to new areas quickly
• Write and adapt medium-to-complex code in R, Python, SAS, or SQL
• Clean, validate, and transform raw data into structured formats for analysis
• Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and data lineage
• Translate analytic outputs into consultative business insights
