Job summary

Norstella's Panalgo division seeks a Senior Analytic Consultant to support IHD in delivering advisory services on real-world data analyses in the US healthcare ecosystem. You will design studies, translate protocols, and apply SQL, R, Python, or SAS to claims, lab, and EMR data, while managing client relationships and delivering actionable insights.

You will work independently on client engagements, collaborating with clinicians, data scientists, and statisticians to ensure data quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, health services research, public health, statistics, computer science)
• 3+ years of professional, hands-on experience with real-world data (claims, lab, EMR/EHR, etc.) in outcomes research, health economics, epidemiology, or life sciences consulting
• Understanding of the life sciences industry and US healthcare ecosystem, including real-world data sources strengths and limitations
• Advanced proficiency in SQL
• Demonstrated ability to independently own client relationships and provide strategic advisory
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings for diverse audiences
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of creative problem-solving and strategic thinking
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Own client relationships as the primary point of contact with senior and non-technical stakeholders
• Advise clients on study design, data source selection, and analytical approach, managing expectations across concurrent projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Translate study protocols into IHD projects from cohort definition through analytic output
• Own end-to-end quality control, applying deep knowledge of real-world data to guide implementation decisions
• Apply deep knowledge across therapeutic areas and real-world data assets, onboarding quickly
• Write and adapt medium-to-complex code in R, Python, SAS, or SQL, delivering efficient and reproducible solutions
• Clean, validate, and transform raw data into structured formats for analysis with data quality
• Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, mappings, and lineage
• Translate analytic outputs into consultative business insights
