Job summary

Commence is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher to lead design and evaluation of CMS/CMMI alternative payment models. You will work with data science and engineering teams to implement methodologies, perform rigorous analyses, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics/health policy/related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on CMS/CMMI implementation or evaluation experience.
• Experience with Databricks and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, or SQL.
• U.S. citizen or able to obtain CMS public trust background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct analyses for CMS/CMMI APMs, including implementation and evaluation tasks.
• Lead methodology development and prepare evaluation reports and briefings for model teams.
• Collaborate with economists, data scientists, and engineers to apply ML-based methods on the Commence platform.
• Develop technical proposals and coordinate client engagements, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
