Job summary

Commence is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher to lead the implementation and evaluation of CMS/CMMI alternative payment models. You will work with economists, data scientists, and engineers to transform data into actionable health policy insights.

The role emphasizes hands-on model design, analysis, and reporting for federal health programs, with a remote setup and periodic travel as needed. Requires strong analytics background and policy experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics, health services research, health policy, public health, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience implementing and/or evaluating CMS/CMMI alternative payment models.
• Experience with both implementation and evaluation preferred.
• Proficiency with analytics platforms and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct evaluations and implementation tasks for CMS/CMMI APMs.
• Collaborate with economists, data scientists, and engineers to develop prototypes and apply ML-based methods.
• Lead methodology documents, evaluation reports, and briefings for CMS model teams.
• Design and write technical approaches for CMS/CMMI and other federal proposals; manage teams and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
