Job summary

Veolia seeks a Project Manager to lead water treatment projects from contract signing through startup. This remote role covers North America, coordinating engineers, the Lead Engineer, and the Sourcing Project Leader to deliver on scope, schedule, budget and safety requirements.

You will be the champion of quality and safety, ensuring the team meets commitments while effectively communicating status to clients and Veolia leadership, and managing vendor expectations across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 10 years of experience managing projects including equipment supply and construction.
• PMP certification or ability to obtain it within one year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of water treatment equipment projects from initiation through completion.
• Organize how the contract will be executed and define clear project objectives.
• Develop and maintain plans for scope, budget, schedule, and key milestones.
• Coordinate the project team and clarify priorities and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to satisfy contractual and technical requirements.
• Escalate or manage events that could impact cost, schedule, scope, or quality.
• Monitor progress with regular reviews and internal reports; adjust plans as needed.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Oversee project changes and support claims management as required.
• Participate in technical meetings and project reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve issues and address critical topics.
