Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex water treatment projects in North America. You will coordinate engineers, procurement, and field teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

Travel up to 5-20% domestically and internationally is expected; PMP or equivalent certification is preferred. This remote role offers impact on critical water infrastructure across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or an equivalent field.
• 10 years of experience managing projects which include equipment supply and construction.
• A valid passport.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or the ability to obtain it within one year.
• Experience managing Engineering and Procurement contracts.
• Experience in industrial process system design/construction, specifically water treatment in the chemical, oil & gas, or power markets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of water treatment equipment projects from initiation through completion.
• Organize how the contract will be executed and define clear project objectives.
• Develop and maintain realistic plans for scope, budget, schedule, and key milestones.
• Coordinate the project team so everyone understands priorities, project structure, and their responsibilities.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to satisfy contractual and technical requirements.
• Promptly elevate issues or events that could significantly impact cost, schedule, scope, or quality.
• Monitor progress through regular reviews and internal reports, adjusting plans as needed.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Oversee project changes and support claims management where required.
• Actively participate in technical meetings and project reviews.
• Collaborate with technical experts and discipline engineers to resolve issues and address critical topics.
• Maintain and update action plans, ensuring timely closure of actions and adherence to project objectives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or an equivalent field
