Job summary

AVANGRID POWER, LLC seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee engineering and construction for wind and thermal energy projects from pre-construction through operation. You will manage EPC activities, budgets and schedules, and lead engineers and site managers to milestones.

The role requires a strong background in engineering, construction management, and project development, with travel up to 20% of the time across multiple sites in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related study.
• 10 years of experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects.
• 5 years’ experience in project development or management.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication, effective negotiating and dispute resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop design, procurement and construction contracts during project pre-construction phases.
• Direct project engineers and construction site managers to meet milestones safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Negotiate and manage EPC activities; lead owner’s project management during implementation of wind and thermal energy projects.
• Provide periodic updates to senior management on project activities, progress and issues.
• Support plant operations and implement process improvements; forecast capital budget spending.
