Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Commercial Lending Senior Project Manager to join our team! This position will manage projects through effective initiation, planning, execution and closure to delivering with quality, speed and value.

This position can be remote within our operational footprint. You will lead project teams to ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget, provide end-to-end project management for complex projects and programs, and mentor junior PMO staff while applying

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in PM, business, finance or related field.
• Five or more years of formal project management experience.
• PMP certification or ability to obtain within 18 months.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
• Knowledge of PMO processes and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive successful large-scale project execution with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Lead project teams to deliver on time, within scope and budget.
• Provide end-to-end PM for complex programs including scope, design, planning, execution, and delivery.
• Guide teams through tradeoffs, risk-based decisions on scope, schedule and costs.
• Document organizational needs for execution and apply lessons learned to improve processes.
• Track progress, modify schedules, and provide status updates to senior leadership.
• Coach and mentor junior PMO staff and project leads.
• Share knowledge to improve processes across project, program and portfolio management.
• Utilize project management software to plan, organize and track activities across departments.
