First Merchants Bank is seeking a Commercial Client Support Specialist to join our team. This role partners with the Commercial Banking team to drive processing of loan requests and support portfolio management, delivering high‑impact customer service with accuracy and urgency.

The position emphasizes compliance with procedures and regulatory standards, proactive issue resolution, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic workflow to support growth and market share.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years in administration, banking, or financial services, or related education/experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support Commercial Lending Requests with specialist expertise.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to commercial clients for a positive experience.
• Perform transaction support and account servicing for non-monetary tasks and complex transactions.
• Support portfolio management activities and identify issues early to mitigate risk.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness across activities.
• Participate in special projects as assigned by Management.
• Assist in mitigating fraud risk through prompt action and coordination with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve banking and internal processes.
