Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. in Schenectady, NY is seeking a Senior Project Engineering Manager to lead the project engineering team across Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, HRSG, and BOP scopes. This role serves as the primary technical interface with Customers and Partners, owning design decisions, risk mitigations, and contract compliance.

Responsibilities include directing engineering budgets and schedules, mentoring engineers, and coordinating handovers. Occasional travel up to 25% within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8-10+ years’ related experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated customer interface experience.
• Knowledge of Turbo machinery, generator, electrical, controls and/or Power Plant Systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical leader for assigned customer projects, developing scope of work and schedule.
• Provide technical leadership and interface with project management, engineering disciplines, product lines, sourcing, and external Partners/Customers.
• Develop specialized expertise within your discipline and serve as a best-practice resource.
• Maintain awareness of the latest technical developments and contribute to strategy and policy development.
• Exercise sound judgment to resolve complex challenges in operations, product management, or engineering.
• Own the engineering execution of BOP-scoped projects from contract signature through fulfillment of GE obligations.
• Manage a cross-functional engineering team to navigate contractual risks and opportunities.
• Review Customer specifications and communicate contract and project requirements to all design functions.
