Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Design Engineer Electrical Systems for gas turbine and combined cycle power plants in Greenville, SC. You will lead engineering efforts, oversee system integration, and support CMU and NPI projects across the global fleet of heavy-duty gas turbines.

You will work with the PS design engineering team to learn existing plants and develop value-adding solutions while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in power or related industry, with field services or electrical engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Excellence: Solve complex technical challenges across GT and CCPP projects.
• System Integration: Oversee integration of new systems within existing power plant infrastructure.
• Documentation & Quality Control: Maintain design docs and BOM per electrical scope and requirements.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Global Engineering and Advanced Technologies.
• Vendor Management: Lead technical engagement with vendors ensuring conformance to design and specs.
• Team Contribution: Contribute to CMU and NPI projects within Engineering teams.
• Technical Support: Provide timely resolutions to field installation teams.
