Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. in Schenectady, NY seeks a Senior Project Engineering Manager to lead the full project engineering team across all disciplines for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, HRSG, and BOP scope.

This role interfaces with customers and partners on technical decisions and manages budgets and schedules for successful project delivery. The position requires 8–10+ years of related experience, a Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8-10+ years’ related experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated customer interface experience.
• Knowledge of turbo machinery, generators, electrical, controls or power plant accessories.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical leader for assigned customer projects, developing scope and schedule while monitoring activities.
• Provide technical leadership and interface with project management, engineering disciplines, product lines, sourcing, and external Partners/Customers.
• Develop specialized expertise and contribute to strategy and policy development for effective delivery.
• Exercise sound judgment to resolve complex challenges in operations or engineering.
• Own the engineering execution of BOP-scoped projects from contract to fulfillment of GE obligations.
