Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects across a fast-paced, regulated food manufacturing network. You will own projects from concept through design, installation, commissioning, and handoff, delivering improvements in food safety, employee safety, and operational efficiency.

This remote role prefers candidates on the East Coast and involves coordinating with Operations, FSQA, Maintenance, EHS, and finance to ensure compliant, cost-effective engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering discipline.
• 7–10+ years in regulated manufacturing or food processing.
• Experience leading capital projects in active production facilities.
• Strong knowledge of food safety systems, sanitary design, and plant utilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept through design and commissioning.
• Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules with risk mitigation.
• Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with safety and sanitary standards.
• Direct installation, validation, and performance verification.
• Support audits and drive improvements to reduce downtime.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote project-management standards.
