Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Senior Plant Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive plant performance across operations. You will guide initiatives that maximize equipment uptime, reliability, and production goals using OEE principles, partnering with Operations, Maintenance, and cross-functional teams.

Lead plant technical strategies and capital planning while promoting safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

5 years’ experience in food or manufacturing.
Requires travel to vendors, training seminars, other plants and to the corporate office for periodic technical strategy meetings and capital planning sessions.
Must be able to effectively communicate and work collaboratively within the plant and across facilities.
Needs knowledge of AutoCAD drawings, dimensioning and updating when equipment is installed or moved.
Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership to keep plant operations running efficiently and at peak performance.
Guide engineering and operational initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and lead plant technical strategies focused on Safety, Compliance, Quality, and Cost.
Manage plant capital investment strategy and multi-year budgets.
Ensure facilities’ structures and systems meet operational needs including electrical, mechanical, boiler and refrigeration.
