Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital and reliability projects across multiple sites. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers to deliver safe, on-schedule initiatives that meet budget targets.

The position requires extensive travel to Shearer’s locations across North America, with remote collaboration to ensure startup, handoff, and ongoing operational excellence in partnership with operations and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept through startup and closeout.
• Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Manage equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal resources.
• Track project milestones, risks, issues, and action items.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, and turnover packages.
• Support FEL and Stage Gate deliverables and project governance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and food safety standards.
• Facilitate startup, operator training, and handoff to operations.
• Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
