UFG Insurance is seeking a Sr Production Underwriter - Middle Market to join the Southwest Region. This role underwrites middle market business with strong agency partnerships, mentors teammates, and drives profitable premium plans.

Remote work is offered with candidates around Dallas, Houston, Abilene, Midland or Amarillo, Texas. The role requires 5+ years of commercial lines underwriting, AU/CIC/CPCU designations preferred, and a proven leadership track.

Qualifications

• Advanced risk evaluation skills and insurance contract knowledge.
• Ability to execute strategy for assigned territory and make underwriting decisions.
• Strong leadership to mentor, coach, and train teammates.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsabilités

• Profitably underwrite complex new and renewal business with proper risk pricing.
• Assess exposures, controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Price risk commensurate with exposures and controls.
• Set terms to deliver a profitable portfolio.
• Document underwriting thought process for files.
• Serve as SME to assist teammates with complex risks.
• Achieve production goals within the territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agencies and insureds.
• Represent UFG's capabilities in underwriting, risk control, and claims.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for optimal outcomes.
• Provide feedback on market opportunities and competitive landscape.
• Mentor and train team members; support corporate initiatives.
