Job summary

Close is seeking its first dedicated Product Security Engineer to own application security across backend and frontend systems. You will analyze code, reproduce exploits, and drive remediation, working with the Infrastructure and Security & Trust teams.

You will build automated tooling, perform threat modeling, and ensure security across AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and APIs. Join a fully remote, AI‑driven product environment where you’ll influence security practices, collaborate with engineers

Qualifications

• Writes production-grade fixes in Python or TypeScript across backend and frontend code paths.
• Experience analyzing unfamiliar code paths and reproducing exploits.
• Ability to threat-model designs and perform white-box code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own vulnerability intake and remediation; triage findings from multiple sources and verify fixes.
• Automate security workflows and integrate tooling with engineering processes.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Trust teams on cloud security, audits, and governance.
• Turn security alerts into actionable engineering work with minimal disruption.
