Job summary

Assembled seeks a lead for application security who will own security across our SaaS and AI products. You will work with product managers and engineers to establish security practices, influence architecture, and build tooling to manage vulnerabilities from discovery through remediation and verification.

You will partner with teams to implement secure design reviews, run vulnerability management, and drive security-first decisions across the engineering stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on application security experience including threat modeling and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling, secure design reviews, and vulnerability management across SaaS and AI products.
• Automate controls for secrets, access, and dependency security within CI/CD workflows.
• Establish and maintain code, dependency, and secrets scanning and dynamic testing.
• Develop secure design and coding training for engineers and establish issue routing processes.
• Coordinate incident response for security incidents and drive remediation and post-incident improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance/Ops on SOC 2 and assurance work and translate customer needs into security decisions.
